Research activities
In our internal R&D activities, we always strive to remain a pioneer in waste management in terms of processing, quality assurance and process improvement. Our mission is to discover, develop and implement innovative and new solutions in the following areas:

-
Process development in the field of secondary raw material processing (such as ferrous and non-ferrous metal fractions)

-
Further development of refuse-derived fuels

-
Improvement of existing processes

Our staff is highly experienced in the field of waste and secondary raw material processing, resulting in an excellent framework for the development and construction of new plants. We would like to emphasize in particular that we have successfully developed and built our own processing plants over the past years, often taking a leadership role. In 1993, for example, we developed and commissioned the first "residual waste separation plant" in Styria, followed in 2009 Austria's first and only "metal composite separation plant" specially designed for "magnetic scrap" (heavily contaminated scrap separated by overbelt magnets). In addition, the plant for processing pulper reject from the waste paper industry, built in 2011 and still the only one of its kind in Austria, deserves mention. The X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) - Metal Sorting Plant, commissioned in 2016, was also the first of its kind worldwide and designed in a joint venture.

Working with our customers, partners and suppliers, we will continue to drive improvements through research and development.

If you should have any ideas that we might support as a partner, we would be pleased to hear from you!
